I think bit by bit the economy is picking up. I have known some people...even people you would think might have a hard time finding other jobs, like the very young, one lady who is nearing retirement after 30 years with one company, another with a bit of a language barrier...to find new jobs & quietly resign.
Anyway, with people in my department quitting left and right, the latest a young college grad who went on to a major hospital, a supervisor previously no one liked is behaving sooooooo nicely. To quote George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers, "Lawd she's being lovey dovey." Maybe she sees some of us as not the ideal, but hey we're at least sticking around as long as we can.
It is picking up and I'll tell you, it was never all that horrible to start. Sure it was bad but not nearly as bad as the media made it out to be.
